Clinics

Sexual health for men and women is an important part of overall health and well being. It means having a positive and healthy understanding of your sexuality at all ages. Sexual health includes physical, emotional, mental and social well-being in relation to sexuality. It also includes the ability to control and positively experience your own sexuality and reproduction. Sexual health is about understanding your body, sexuality and sexual identity.

The Huron County Health Unit offers sexual health support and holds regular Sexual Health Clinics.  You need to make an appointment and bring a valid health card. At the clinic a physician is available for:

  • Pap tests (for women under age 41)
  • Birth control
  • Morning after pill
  • STI testing for men and women of all ages
  • Pregnancy tests

You can also drop in without an appointment to see a public health nurse during Sexual Health Drop-In hours in Clinton or Wingham for:

  • Pregnancy tests
  • Low/no cost birth control
  • Free condoms
  • Birth control starts for women less than 25 years of age
  • Morning after pill
  • Some STI testing for men and women of all ages
  • Filling of external birth control prescriptions, no age limit
